Historia

On June 26, 1969, Carlos Arias Navarro, who was then the Mayor of Madrid, accompanied by his wife, took the inaugural trip of the Rosales-Casa de Campo Teleferico, in a cabin that was honoured with festive flags.

The company, Teleferico de Rosales, was founded on September 6, 1967. Previously, by a plenary agreement of the town council on July 19 of that same year, it had granted for 35 years the concession of a 1,500 meter parcel in the Casa de Campo for its installations. Currently, the company belongs to the Parques Reunidos Group.

The aerial cable car was constructed by the Swiss company, Von-Roll after a year of intense work.

Since then until now, the Teleferico is about to turn forty years old. This mode of air transportation has delighted the people from Madrid and the thousands of visitors that have taken home the memory of the city's best views.

The Teleferico is currently considered the best mode of transportation for reaching the heart of the Casa de Campo. It is fast, avoids the city traffic, there is no need to worry about parking and it is eco-friendly. Send to a friend
